Drama is a good way of building teamwork as students are required to co-operate and take care of their fellow classmates. We believe that Drama Education can achieve a wide variety of educational goals. It can increase students’ participation in learning English and stimulate them to read aloud. It can also uphold students’ confidence by getting them perform on the stage in public.
Through the enjoyment Drama brings, it helps reduce students’ stress and allows them to express their emotions.
Drama Education can improve students’ ability in spoken as well as written English. They are assigned to learn various plays and encouraged to write their multi-act plays. These plays vary from classical children literature to stories on daily issues, e.g. friendship and environmental protection, to suit students’ interests in different stages.
